I agree that this could be a very good angle if approached and built right to said Survivor Series. However, maybe seeing The Family from NXT take on The Shield in a separate storyline from the Invasion could be an interesting way to foil The Shield...that's how Neville/Sami Zayne could get in possibly...

I loved Roode's run as champion. What i loved about the feud between him and storm was the fact that they were on the road night and day for 4 years and were the most popular tag team out. So naturally you take a big loss at Bound For Glory to make the event a big deal because Roode basically through everyone under the bus after Storm one the championship. That was the trigger for his heel turn.

Some great points. I thought for a while the E was on the right path by introducing/using some gimmicky teams.I liked the idea of the Usos, PTPlayers, Primo & Epico. They just stopped using them as legitimate contenders, and opted to use them to put teams like rhodes scholars, Hell no, and now Tons of Funk over. I wish WWE would stop using these random superstars; put them in a tagteam match as a cheap way to get them on TV and say they are rebuilding the tag division. I know I'm ranting, because I am happy WWE listened to fans by at the very least giving us more tag matches, but us smarks are looking for a tag DIVISION not more tag matches.

These are all great ideas! Team Hell No was clearly a resurgence of the Tag Team division, but it seems they totally forgot that! PTP should have taken the tag titles MONTHS ago, no matter how big a draw Hell No was. It could have made a great feud, and some great matches with other teams.

They really dropped the ball and I have such little faith that WWE can pick it back up in the Tag division.

Now what? He loses it...hopefully soon. Ziggler is the type of guy that I was all for him becoming the next top star but when it became clear that was what he would become (as Big Gold Belt Holder which isn't that much of an accomplishment these days anyway) I really just didn't care. I am open to him making me care (and open to nothing else!) but as it stands right now when I see him as the champion I just think 'Meh'

I have to admit I was expecting and hoping for a 3 Way at EXTREME! Rules with Henry thrown in and not just because I like Henry and feel he could do well in the spot but also because it kills one PPV which makes it easier on the booking in terms of the future. I honestly thought turning The Ryback 3000 heel was a bad move...it wasn't entirely necessary in the factor that he could just be a hungry babyface dominant challenger to the babyface champion...but then again he was the hungry babyface dominant challenger when he fought Punk where it has been downhill from there. I am all for The Ryback 3000 being a top guy in the company it's just the way they are booking him has just been stupid from losing a lot and just losing sight of what they were intending him to become. Good article. It seems there's more bad than good to this. But I at least think this is less forced than the Ryback title push last year. He's a better performer today than he was when he started with Punk. But that doesn't mean he needed to be heel.

NBA games in the 90's didn't even have MJ on it whatsoever due to some contractual issues. At least wrestling games had their guy on it. Flair not being in Revenge made no sense to me.

As a huge Dolphfan I really hope his reign lasts a good while. As you say there are so many ways they can take the story and as we have already seen, so many contenders to the throne that it will bring back a freshness to Smackdown that I feel has been missing for quite a while.

enjoyable article to read. I would agree with most of this one. I got a good laugh when you mentioned the WCW game not making it because it didn't have Ric Flair and that doing that would be like not having Michael Jordan in basketball games at the time. We actually didn't show up in video games when I was a kid from what I remember...so, just another reason to be a wrestling fan...they put their version of Michael Jordan in their video games hahaha!

Ryback has that feel of Austin. He just wants to hurt people and get that title, not caring who is in the way heel or face. It will be interesting to see how they use him now. Will they go that way or will they try to convince everyone he's a bad guy?

The crowd was awesome. It just goes to show you that people CAN remember that they are just fans and not critics, and just have fun! Sometimes the problem isn't the show, sometimes the problem is the way the fans just sit and bitch about everything.

As soon as you declared your intention to do this column I immediately thought about it: Even though I tend to complain a lot I like to think that at the same time I don't complain to ridiculous levels and am willing to give wrestling companies a chance (of course whether or not that translates to stuff that I write is dependent on the reader). I like to have fun complaining to be honest try and crack a joke get a smile out of people while at the same time making fun of the stereotype of Wrestling Fans. Specifically I remembered WWE in 2009 which I would probably call my year of most complaining about Wrestling. Even when I complained I still recorded Raw's to try and enjoy it. I get the whole 'Just sit down and watch it without going too much into it' but the thing is Maybe what I'm trying to enjoy isn't very good which is more often the case with those Raw's because pretty much as soon as I get done watching it I just think 'Well that was shit' and I just fast forwarded the Guest Host segments and all the Hornswoggle shit
